September 2020 School reopening
I would like to reassure you that we are planning on opening the school to all of the children from Years 1-6 from Thursday 3rd September. The staff team and I have been working hard to ensure that we can do this in a safe manner in line with all of the government and public health guidance. We will contact the parents of the new Reception children shortly with further information about our plans to welcome them in.
There are likely to be a lot of changes to the way the school runs and it will be important for everyone that we keep our plans under constant review as guidance changes. At the moment we are looking at using a wider number of entrances to the school and staggering the start and end of the school day ever so slightly.
The safety of the children, the staff and the whole community is paramount and the reopening of the school will be done slowly and carefully to reflect this. Currently we are confident that we can offer breakfast club provision to the children already registered with us, serving a limited menu, from Monday 7th September. We are, however unlikely to be able to offer any afterschool clubs. We will keep our procedures under constant review and will let you know if this changes.
We will send out final arrangements to individual classes and teachers towards the end of the summer break. Please check your emails regularly. We will also update the details on the school website on this page here so please keep an eye on this. Finally we plan to display the information clearly on the school gates so that you can see it if you walk past. If you have any specific queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org. This email address will be monitored over the holiday.
Many thanks in advance for your co-operation at this time, whilst we try to re-open our school safely.
Look after each other, stay safe, enjoy the summer and I look forward to working with you all in September.
