Maths
For a fun warm-up try dancing and counting to 20! Remember if it's a bit tricky to count backwards from 20, you can start at 10.
Now that you're warmed up, let's learn about clocks. Do you have a clock at home? Clocks help us to know what the time is.
Let's learn about the clock
Make your own clock at home. You can draw it on paper, use a paper plate or even recycle some cardboard from a box. Use a straw and a pin for the short and long hands, some paper and blue tack or you can draw them on.
Phonics

Can you make your own sound book? After you have learned a new sound, write it in your book! Then see if you can draw some pictures with that sound and label its name.

Can you write some instructions on how to make a sandwich? Write it just like we wrote instructions on how to plant cress seeds and how to wash our hands. Remember to use words such as 'First,' 'then' and 'last.' Draw pictures and try to use 'Fred Talk' to help you write the sounds you hear in words.
You can make your favourite sandwich, here is my favourite:
I hope you have a lovely Easter break!
Children around the world have been drawing pictures of rainbows and sticking them in their windows to bring joy to others as they walk or drive past. You might like to create a rainbow to put up on your window too.
I look forward to seeing some of your learning!

Look through old photographs of when your child was a baby, or when you (as a grownup) were a baby.
- Use the expression, ‘in the past’ to describe what is happening in the photo. i.e. “In the past, I used to play with my food”
Identify similarities and differences between the past and the present.
- How are you different now than in the past? Use the expression ‘nowadays’. i.e. “Nowadays, I eat with a fork”
You can link this with current events. For example, “In the past, we used to go to school every day. Nowadays I am learning from home...”
I look forward to hearing about your learning!
