Well done everyone, you have now learned all of the sounds in set 1 and 2. You will now review and consolidate all the sounds!

Watch the video and practise the sounds

RWI Set 2

Follow the link below to play Odd Sound Out. Look at the pictures and say the words. Think of the first sound in each word. Some of the pictures start with the same first sound but one of them is different. Find the different picture and drag it to the middle. Have fun!

Odd Sound Out

Miss Fernando's Group

Even though we have finished learning all of the sounds, it is really important to keep practising them. Watch the video and practise the sounds.

RWI Set 3 sounds

Now you can play the game 'Alien Escape. Today we will be focusing on spelling.

So far this week we have practised counting by 2's and 10's. Today we are going to explore counting by 5's!

Use some paint and create handprints. One handprint has 5 fingers, how many fingers are there altogether? Count by 5s to find out!

Can you make 2 handprints? Can you count in 5s to find out how many

     fingers there are altogether?

Can you make 3 handprints? Can you count in 5s to find out how many

     fingers there are altogether?

Can you make 5 handprints? Can you count in 5s to find out how many

     fingers there are altogether?

Sing along to the song to help you count by 5's!

Exercise and Count by 5's

Special Task

This week we have learned some interesting facts starfish and we also had an opportunity to recap on some of the other sea creatures that we have previously learned about. Today we are going to go back to Turtles!

Sing the song below to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Turtle, Turtle

Turtle, turtle moves so slow,

Crawling, crawling, watch him go.

At the pond he looks around,

See his head move up and down.

Turtle, turtle wants to swim,

Now can you make up your own tune to sing the song below?

Tiny Tim the Turtle

I had a little turtle, his name was Tiny Tim

I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim

He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap

and now he's sick in bed with a bubble in his throat. "Hiccup"

End of Year Special Message

Congratulations on completing Reception Blythe Class! You have all worked very hard this year. Even though it has been quite challenging not being able to come into school, it has been lovely to see you all trying your best to learn at home with your families. Thank you for sharing photos of your achievements with your teachers and also your friends.

I have had such a wonderful time getting to know you all and teaching you this year. Although I wont be your teacher next year, I look forward to seeing you around the school. I hope to hear great things about your learning achievements from your new teacher, Miss Holdaway. I wish you all the best for year 1!

Miss Cohen, Emma and Mrs Fullerton may not be in your class next year but they also look forward to seeing you when we return in September.

Congratulations Blythe Class from Miss Fernando, Miss Cohen, Mrs Fullerton and Emma!
